Job Summary:
4P Consulting Inc. is seeking a Data Analytics Analyst II to support enterprise analytics and reporting for Alabama Power. The role involves working with large datasets in cloud environments to ensure reliable data for dashboards and analytical products.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Analyze large, complex datasets to support enterprise reporting and analytics products
โ€ข Support and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
โ€ข Translate business questions into efficient, analytics-ready datasets
โ€ข Ensure datasets are optimized for visualization performance and usability
โ€ข Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, including:
โ€ข Complex joins
โ€ข CTEs
โ€ข Window functions
โ€ข Performance optimization
โ€ข Develop reusable, well-documented SQL assets
โ€ข Work with cloud-based data platforms such as:
โ€ข Databricks
โ€ข Azure Synapse
โ€ข Snowflake
โ€ข BigQuery (or similar)
โ€ข Understand and support data ingestion flows from source systems to cloud storage and analytics layers
