Project Manager Advanced
Description
The Advanced Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and managing project teams.
Job Requirements
Project Planning and Management: Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning and operational readiness for assigned projects. This will involve developing and monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in internal or external stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Project Team Management: Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members. This may include multiple work streams and require significant coordination and collaboration.
Team Building: Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
Key areas of responsibility:
Developing, maintaining, and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
Organizing, attending, facilitating, and participating in internal or external stakeholder meetings.
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.

Skills Required
โ€ข Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to manage conflict, listening, collaborating, and team building.
โ€ข Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
โ€ข In-depth knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.
โ€ข Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools, such as Clarity, Open Workbench, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira.
โ€ข Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting at all levels including the executive level.
โ€ข Full transparency of project progress, risks, and vendor performance.
o Ability to work on tight deadlines.
o Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects at the same time.
Required Credentials and Experience:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; project management and programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
โ€ข At least five years of medium to large-scale project management experience or similar role;
โ€ข At least five years of strong experience with project/program planning, work plan development, program management and project management processes
Preferred Credentials and Experience:
โ€ข PMP or similar certification
โ€ข Experience working within, or assisting, public health/state agencies
