AT A GLANCE
RVO Health seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our interdisciplinary medical weight loss team. As a provider, you will diagnose, treat, and manage obesity as a chronic disease and its related comorbidities. This whole-person, programmatic primary care model transforms virtual healthcare nationwide by supporting each patient with care navigators, case managers, dietitians, and medical providers. What You'll Do
You will deliver virtual primary care focused on obesity management through synchronous (real-time) virtual telemedicine. All duties must comply with state and federal laws and adhere to evidence-based medical standards. This role offers the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. while tackling important healthcare challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive virtual medical weight loss care including patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment planning, chronic condition management and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including dietitians, care navigators, case managers, behavioral health professionals and external specialists to ensure coordinated whole person care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe appropriate medications and evidence-based treatment regimens, and adjust care plans as clinically indicated.
  • Engage patients in shared decision-making, clearly explaining treatment options, risk and benefits while promoting adherence to prescribed regimens and follow-up care.
  • Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered counseling that fosters sustainable lifestyle changes and ensures a safe, respectful space for patients to share challenges and successes.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately via synchronous telemedicine visits and asynchronous messaging, addressing patient concerns promptly and thoroughly.
  • Participate in regular clinical team meetings and care conferences, contributing to case discussions, continuous learning and practice involvement
  • Coordinate care and exchange relevant patient information with local healthcare providers/organizations in compliance with HIPAA and state telehealth regulations
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the EHR, ensuring clear, compliant and up-to-date pt records.
  • Support operational excellence by performing necessary administrative tasks and adhering to collaborative practice agreements and state specific telehealth laws.
What We're Looking For
  • Obesity medicine certification or training
  • Previous telemedicine experience.
  • Multi-state licensure (compact or multiple states) - preferred 10+
  • Familiarity with value-based or outcomes-oriented care models.
  • Team-oriented and mission aligned.
  • Excellent presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision and drive results with disciplined follow-through
