Job Summary:
Invesco is one of the worldโ€™s leading independent global investment firms focused on rethinking possibilities for clients. They are seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications and APIs in a modern, cloud-based environment, while collaborating closely with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, and enhance applications, APIs, and services using modern technologies
โ€ข Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and support
โ€ข Build, test, and maintain system components in alignment with established standards
โ€ข Ensure adherence to coding, documentation, and quality standards
โ€ข Collaborate with project managers to review timelines and communicate progress or risks
โ€ข Support user acceptance testing and perform quality assurance on peer deliverables
โ€ข Prepare and maintain documentation to enable ongoing system support
โ€ข Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders across various channels
โ€ข Assist with estimating development efforts for projects and enhancements
โ€ข Provide third-level support and participate in business continuity and recovery efforts
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Minimum 3+ years of experience in application development
โ€ข Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (Framework 4+ / .NET 6+)
โ€ข Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
โ€ข Solid experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
โ€ข Experience building N-tier applications, APIs, batch/console applications, and user interfaces
โ€ข Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM)
โ€ข Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
โ€ข Knowledge of Stonebranch UAC or similar job schedulers is a plus
โ€ข Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum preferred)
โ€ข Exposure to integrating with third-party/vendor systems
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
