Lead and support a day program team dedicated to delivering high-quality services, supporting staff, and helping individuals with disabilities build independence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully in their community.




About the Role

To The Rescue is seeking a Day Program Manager to lead daily operations that directly impact the quality of life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This role oversees compliance, quality assurance, and program operations while ensuring high-quality, person-centered supports are delivered each day.

Youโ€™ll provide leadership over staff, documentation, and daily program performance to ensure safe, consistent, and effective service delivery.




Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Operations
  • Oversee daily operations of the Day Program and ensure quality services are provided

  • Support the ongoing development and success of the program

  • Monitor program resources, records, staffing, and service utilization to support efficient operations and responsible use of funding.

  • Ensure documentation and services remain compliant with applicable regulations and company policies

  • Promote a safe, positive, and engaging environment for members and staff

Staff Leadership & Development
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Day Program staff while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture

  • Ensure required training is completed and support ongoing staff development

  • Provide leadership, communication, and direction to the team

Member Support & Program Outcomes

  • Support a person-centered environment that promotes independence, skill development, and community involvement

  • Monitor our membersโ€™ progress and ensure staff are supporting established goals and service plans

  • Review documentation and progress reporting to help ensure quality services and positive outcomes

  • Encourage activities and programming that align with members' interests, abilities, and goals

Community Partnerships & Resources
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources, care teams, and community partners that support the Day Program

  • Stay informed about local resources, activities, and opportunities that may benefit members and enhance programming

  • Collaborate with families, support teams, and community organizations to promote meaningful participation and quality outcomes




What We're Looking For
  • Strong leadership and ability to coach, support, and develop staff in a residential or day program setting

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction, feedback, and accountability to employees

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation accuracy, compliance, and follow-through

  • Familiarity with auditing, monitoring, and quality assurance practices in a service-based program environment and working knowledge of applicable laws regulations and human services compliance requirements

  • Comfortable using computer systems for documentation, scheduling, and reporting (Microsoft Office and internal systems)

  • Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping teams deliver high-quality services

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
