Director of Rehabilitation

Facility: West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation
Position: Director of Rehabilitation
Location: Deltona, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually (based on licensure/discipline)

West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy department. In this leadership role, you'll oversee rehabilitation services, mentor a multidisciplinary therapy team, ensure regulatory compliance, and help residents achieve their highest level of independence and function.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all rehabilitation services in accordance with facility goals and regulatory standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state rehabilitation regulations and implement policy updates as needed.

  • Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Manage department staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource allocation.

  • Supervise therapy documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

  • Lead interdisciplinary care meetings to improve resident outcomes.

  • Maintain survey readiness and oversee rehabilitation compliance during state and federal inspections.

  • Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to facility leadership.

  • Build strong relationships with physicians, referral sources, and community partners.

  • Monitor departmental performance and drive continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted PT, OT, or SLP license.

  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation or a related field required.

  • Minimum 3 years of rehabilitation experience, including 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role (SNF or hospital experience preferred).

  • Previous Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (ADOR) or Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) experience strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Net Health, TSI, and PCC.

  • Strong understanding of RUGs, CMI, Medicare, and skilled nursing rehabilitation operations.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
