Role Description This is a contract, on-site Truck Driver role based in Oak Creek, WI. The Truck Driver will operate company or assigned tractor-trailers to transport freight between customer locations and terminals, following scheduled routes and delivery timelines. Daily responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, safely loading and unloading cargo as needed, securing freight, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation. The role requires adherence to all DOT regulations and company safety standards, communicating effectively with dispatch and customers, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Drivers are expected to keep vehicles clean and in good operating condition, and to represent Ador Transport professionally at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license and demonstrated proficiency in Truck Driving for commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to safely operate and maneuver a Truck, including backing, coupling/uncoupling, and driving in varied weather and traffic conditions.
  • Experience with Unloading freight using appropriate equipment and methods, and properly securing loads.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT Regulations, hours-of-service rules, and all applicable safety and compliance requirements.
  • Clean driving record, with no major violations, and ability to pass background checks and drug/alcohol screenings as required.
  • Good physical stamina, ability to lift and move cargo as required, and capability to work flexible hours and routes.
  • Reliable communication skills, professionalism when interacting with customers and team members, and strong attention to detail in paperwork and logs.
  • Previous experience in regional or long-haul trucking is preferred; familiarity with Midwest routes is a plus.
