Technical Analyst – Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

Location: Remote (with limited onsite if local to NiSource offices – Columbus, OH / Merrillville, IN / Chicago, IL) Start Date: Target March 2026 Experience Level: 2–3 Years Travel: Primarily remote. If located near a NiSource office, expect 1–2 onsite days per week. Eight workshops confirmed through June (travel may increase for local resources). We are seeking a Technical Analyst – Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to support digital content platforms for a large enterprise utility environment. This role bridges business requirements with technical execution, helping deliver scalable, high-performing customer experiences using AEM as a Cloud Service. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and platform teams to support AEM development, configuration, content workflows, and integrations — contributing directly to enterprise CMS initiatives. This role provides exposure to a large-scale customer transformation program within a modern AEM Cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support AEM Sites development, configuration, and content authoring
  • Develop and enhance AEM components using HTL/Sightly, Sling Models, and Java
  • Assist with content editing, workflows, and publishing processes
  • Configure AEM including OSGi services, replication agents, and basic Dispatcher settings (nice to have)
  • Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Participate in solution design discussions; create technical documentation and configuration artifacts
  • Support impact analysis and effort estimation
  • Awareness of secure coding practices; Understanding of enterprise security and compliance requirements
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint delivery
  • Support integrations with third-party systems (minimum 1 year experience preferred)
  • Experience integrating AEM with enterprise systems via REST API's; Understanding of authentication mechanisms (oAuth, token-based auth)
  • Work with DevOps pipelines using Git, Maven, and CI/CD processes
  • Provide troubleshooting and platform support to ensure reliable digital experiences
  • Contribute to workshops and stakeholder sessions as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2–3 years hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Sites)
  • Understanding of AEMaaC architecture (immutable infrastructure, containerized deployment)
  • Experience with AEM Cloud Service
  • Experience with Cloud Manager deployment model
  • Knowledge of Adobe best practices for cloud environment
  • AEM component development using HTL/Sightly, Sling Models, Java
  • Proficiency in content authoring and workflow management within AEM
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with Git and Maven
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (ownership experience is a plus)
  • Experience with: o Edge Delivery Services (1+ year preferred) o Universal Editor (1+ year preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile environments
