Role Description

EvoTech is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support program and project teams by assisting with project coordination, documentation, and data analysis using PMBOK-aligned methodologies.

This role works closely with project managers, engineers, and senior analysts to support project execution by tracking performance, documenting requirements, monitoring project financials, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. The Junior Business Analyst will play a key role in maintaining project organization, ensuring documentation accuracy, and supporting communication across stakeholders.

This position offers an opportunity to develop foundational experience in project management, business analysis, and federal IT environments, with exposure to structured methodologies and enterprise tools.

This role may be hybrid or remote depending on contract requirements, with occasional travel as needed.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Support project coordination activities across multiple IT and program management initiatives.

Assist in tracking project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables using PMBOK-aligned practices.

Monitor project financials and assist with tracking project spending and budget status.

Support requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication efforts.

Assist project teams in maintaining organization, documentation accuracy, and execution alignment.


Technical / Functional Tasks

Assist with maintaining project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.

Support development of dashboards, reports, and project performance metrics.

Create and maintain project documentation using Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe PDF tools.

Assist in process documentation, template development, and workflow improvement initiatives.

Support tracking and reporting of project data, including timelines, deliverables, and financial metrics.


Collaboration & Documentation

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.

Prepare meeting notes, action trackers, and project status reports.

Maintain documentation repositories and ensure project records are accurate and up to date.

Support communication across project teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.


Continuous Improvement

Support process improvement initiatives across projects and internal operations.

Assist in developing standardized templates, procedures, and documentation practices.

Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, documentation, and coordination activities.

Contribute to improving efficiency and consistency across project execution efforts.


Requirements

Education

Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Business, Cybersecurity, Project Management, or a related field.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred.


Experience

0–3 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or IT support environments.

Internship or academic experience supporting IT, cybersecurity, or project-based work.


Technical Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.

Working knowledge of Adobe PDF tools.

Basic understanding of IT environments and project lifecycle management.

Familiarity with financial tracking concepts related to project spending.


Soft Skills

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
