Director of Analytics

Smith is seeking a Director of Analytics to lead the strategy, growth, and evolution of our Analytics practice across enterprise B2B commerce, marketing, and customer experience with deep expertise in complex B2B buying journeysand commerce platform analytics.

In this role, you'll help enterprise clients transform fragmented data into trusted insights that drive better decisions, improve performance, and unlock growth. You'll serve as both a strategic advisor and practice leader by partnering with clients to design,implement,and optimize analyticssolutions thatdrivemeasurablebusiness outcomes, and shap e how Smith delivers modern analytics.

You'll help ensure that:

What You'll DoAnalytics Strategy & Measurement
  • Lead discovery sessions and define KPI frameworks, measurement strategies, and analytics roadmaps.
  • Designandimplemententerprisemeasurement ecosystems across GA4, GTM, Adobe Analytics, B2B commerce platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce B2B Commerce) CDPs, CRM, marketing automation, BI, and dataplatforms.
  • Assess analytics maturity,identify opportunities, and recommend improvements that strengthen decision-making.
  • Partner with UX, Development, SEO, Paid Media, Content, Lifecycle Marketing, and CX teams to embedtracking and webanalytics throughout implementation and optimization.
Reporting & Insights
  • Design and deliver dashboards, reporting, and executive insights that support client decision-making.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, actionable, and aligned with business outcomes.
  • Guide dashboard development across LookerandPower BI.
  • Help clients understand not only what happened, but why, what's next, and what to do about it.
Practice Contribution
  • Build scalable analytics frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor analysts and consultants in measurement strategy, data storytelling, consulting, and client leadership.
  • Help evolve Smiths analytics capability as AI, privacy, and technology continue to reshape the industry.
Client Leadership & Growth
  • Lead client analytics discussions and facilitate executive-level conversations with confidence and clarity.
  • Facilitate workshops that align business goals, KPIs, and measurement priorities and translate outcomes into actionable measurement plans.
  • Support proposals, solutioning, and new business while identifying opportunities to expand analytics services with existing clients.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced analytics consultant who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You're comfortable advising executives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating complex data into meaningful business outcomes.

You bring experience:

  • Leading enterprise analytics and measurement strategy.
  • Building KPI frameworks, dashboards, attribution models, and reporting ecosystems.
  • Working across marketing, commerce, customer experience, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Translating businessgoals into technical requirements.
  • Growing client relationships and contributing to new business opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in analytics, digital measurement, business intelligence, data strategy, or consulting.
  • Experience leading analytics engagements in agency, consulting, or enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to move from strategy through implementation, ensuring analytics solutionsare successfully delivered and adopted by clients.
  • Strongexpertise with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, BigQuery, CDPs, CRMs, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience with tracking strategy, data layerrequirements,ecommerceeventtracking,UTM standards,attribution, experimentation, and analytics QA.
  • Proven success leading analytics for enterprise websites, commerce platforms, digital transformations, or large-scale marketing programs.
