Reports to: Director of Graduate Admission

Work Period: 12-month

Hours: Full-time

Overtime: Exempt

Job Grade: 7

General Summary: Supports the graduate and post-baccalaureate student recruitment activities of the admission office within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures. Reports to the associate director of graduate admission. Works cooperatively with co-workers, prospective graduate and post-baccalaureate students and alums in promoting graduate programs and actively recruiting potential candidates for admission to graduate and post-baccalaureate programs at Agnes Scott College.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Supports graduate and post-baccalaureate student recruitment activities. Support decision making process for admitted students including application tracking, application reads and decision processing.
  2. Recruits prospects and applicants through calling and email campaigns, individual visits and group webinars.
  3. Implements recruitment strategies for graduate and post-baccalaureate students, including representation at college visits, grad school fairs, interviewing, correspondence with students and counselors that involves regional travel in the fall and spring.
  4. Interprets college and admission policies and practices to students, alumni, and staff in a variety of settings including evening and weekend events, college visits, college fairs, and related meetings.
  5. Assists graduate admission team with in-person and virtual information sessions to large and small groups, including Open House, admitted student yield day, admission webinars, and other recruitment and yield activities.
  6. Data entry and record maintenance of recruitment prospects and applicants. Compiles admission reports as needed.
  7. Assists graduate and post-baccalaureate applicants through the application process and tracks applications for completion utilizing the CRM tool.
  8. Supports graduate admission team with email development in Slate, flyers and graphics in Canva, and other ad hoc projects to support marketing and recruitment.
  9. Operates within approved travel and program budgets.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in related occupational field of study.

Experience: 1-3 years professional experience in an office or sales environment. Experience in admissions or higher education preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability and interest in learning new software.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (Slate preferred).
  • Proficiency in public speaking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Ability to communicate enthusiastically on the phone, online, in email, and in-person about graduate programs.
  • Good judgment and the ability to work collegially in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
  • Desire to support a diverse and inclusive campus environment.
  • Travel required from the office to other locations on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Irregular, weekend and evening hours are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office with occasional travel.
