As an administrative support associate, you assist your company with various clerical and administrative tasks, usually including routine paperwork and communications. You may help schedule appointments, respond to calls, ensure the proper filing of all documents, and coordinate with each part of the company as needed. Administrative support associates often work with a variety of administrative units or departments and help the whole company function smoothly. This job is similar to being a secretary, but it has a somewhat broader focus and requires more flexibility with scheduling and prioritizing tasks. Employers may ask you to review documents, distribute mail, perform data entry, help with travel arrangements, and otherwise serve as a central point of contact.
