Job Description
The Greer Group is recruiting an Elections Administrative Assistant for our client in Raleigh. This is a temporary position slated through November 2026!Monday - Friday, 8: 30 AM - 5: 15 PMEvening and Weekend overtime required during Election Season, some weeks are 50-60 hour work weeks!
  • This position will assist with administrative tasks for various teams.
  • Position involves complex level of office support by assisting with planning, organizing, and coordinating day-to-day election activities.
  • Providing customer service and administrative support to staff and the public.
  • Assisting with document preparation, proofreading, records management, and public records requests.
  • Supporting Board meetings through meeting preparation, logistics, and recordkeeping.
  • Maintaining and updating internal communications, website content, and social media platforms.
  • Assisting with election operations, including polling place coordination, voting equipment testing, temporary staffing correspondence, and help line support.
  • Coordinating administrative support for events and departmental projects.

Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US.
  • Must be available to work full day and must be able to work up to 50-60 hour work week (including weekends) during election season.
  • Must be able to type (a data entry assessment is required).
  • Must be able to sit and stand for at least two hours.
  • Comfortable working in various roles which may include light labor, general office tasks, and supporting roles.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of voter information and sign a confidentiality statement before being hired.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Associates degree or recent college graduate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Customer service or event coordination experience.
  • Comfortable shifting between different tasks and supporting multiple teams.
  • Employee must have a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
