Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides a wide variety of general administrative, clerical and secretarial support to a department or group. Exercises independent judgment on assignments that are moderately difficult; requires instructions only on new assignments.
What You Will Do
You'll create polished documents, reports, and presentations; ensure every piece of communication is clear, accurate, and professional; and turn complex information into compelling summaries. You'll be the friendly voice on the phone, the welcoming face for visitors, and the organizational powerhouse behind meetings, calendars, travel, and day-to-day coordination.
You'll keep workflows flowing-managing records, maintaining office supplies, prioritizing incoming information, and supporting document control systems. In this role, you're the go-to problem solver who keeps leaders on track, supports your team, and helps newer employees thrive. Every day brings variety, impact, and the chance to make the entire department run at its best.
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates with:
  • High School diploma or satisfactory completion of the General Educational Development test (G.E.D.)
  • Three to five (3-5) years' administrative experience
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" level security clearance
  • Demonstrated PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office Software and Adobe Acrobat

A Successful Candidate Also Brings:
  • Associates degree
  • Currently possess a DOE "Q" level security clearance
  • Experience providing support in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience requesting and coordinating purchase requisitions in Oracle

Pay:
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $46,036-65,000. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

"This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain Q security clearance. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require a preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required."
