THE ROLE

Our client is an established and growing metal distribution company seeking an experienced and dependable Administrative Assistant to join its head office team in Delta.


This hands-on administrative support position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, routine, accuracy, and being a reliable resource for others. The successful candidate will value stability and long-term employment and will be comfortable developing their expertise while contributing consistently in an administrative support capacity.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers and visitors and respond to general inquiries.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence.
  • Process cheque deposits and apply Accounts Receivable payments in the company’s internal system.
  • Order and maintain office and warehouse supplies.
  • Provide general administrative support to managers, sales representatives, and other office employees.
  • Coordinate couriers and receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Prepare and process expense reports for designated employees.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized office records and filing systems.
  • Assist with additional administrative duties as required.


REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in an administrative assistant, office assistant, or receptionist position.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage established responsibilities reliably.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an office environment.
