The organization began with a group of student and community activists in 1967, and was incorporated and received non-profit status in 1969 to fight discrimination against the Mexican American community. Inspired by Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez, we advocated for equity in education, politics, and labor conditions. Today, CPLC provides services to people of all backgrounds while honoring our Mexican-American roots. This is a remote position based in AZ HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE? You will oversee the strategic development, implementation, and management of the organization's health benefit plans.

You will be responsible for ensuring that benefits programs align with organizational goals and comply with applicable regulations. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to optimize benefit offerings and enhance employee satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring program performance, managing vendor relationships, analyzing benefits trends, and identifying improvement opportunities to support employee well-being and organizational objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises a minimum of 2 benefits staff for leave administration and wellness including one-to-one supervisions and performance evaluation. Responsible for selection, hiring, and employee performance management. SPECIALIZATIONS Benefits administration of company-wide benefits programs to include health insurance, retirement plans (401k/pension), wellness initiatives, and legal compliance (e.g., ERISA, ACA).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES Education/Background : High School Diploma and 4 years of overseeing Employee Benefits and management of employee benefits administration Associate Degree and 3 years overseeing Employee Benefits and management of employee benefits administration Bachelor's Degree and 2 years overseeing Employee Benefits and management of employee benefits administration Licenses and Certifications: CEBP certification, preferred Other Requirements Strong knowledge of benefits management, compliance regulations, and best practices. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proficient in benefits administration software. Familiarity with healthcare cost management strategies. Experience with data analytics and reporting.
