Colorado Barricade is a leading provider of traffic safety services and equipment for the road repair, construction, and maintenance industry. Colorado Barricade's core services include traffic control planning and services, pavement marking, permanent sign, and related merchandise and equipment rental and sales. Customers include highway construction companies, the Department of Transportation, municipalities, and utilities.

Position Overview

The Sales Assistant supports daily customer interactions and provides administrative and operational assistance to Product Sales Associates and the sign production team. This position follows up with customers regarding open orders, provides order status updates, and helps resolve routine questions related to products, pricing, and delivery timelines. The role works closely with the production team to gather accurate information on order progress, materials, and completion dates. The Sales Assistant also helps ensure customer orders and related documentation are processed accurately and communicated effectively.

Administrative & Customer Support Coordinator

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to sales and internal departments.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Company as needed.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Assist Account Managers with customer account information, order tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Process customer quotes, sales orders, and related documentation accurately within company systems and software.
  • Ensure customer orders are entered, processed, and coordinated in a timely manner.
  • Verify pricing, materials, quantities, and order details to ensure accuracy before fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer orders are completed and shipped according to requested timelines.

  • Assist with registering for, coordinating, setting up, and taking down Company trade show booths and events.
  • Assist with Company events, meetings, and other administrative activities as needed.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers with order pickups and help load customer sales and equipment orders when necessary.
  • Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, copying, mailing invoices, organizing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist with data entry, reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative tasks.
  • Identify administrative process improvements and assist with implementing more efficient procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
