Job description

ADJUNCT FACULTY - MATHEMATICS
Midway University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in our Math and Science department. We are looking for instructors with a background in Mathematics to teach primarily in person on campus in Midway.
As an adjunct faculty member, you will provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and personalized learning experiences aligned with the University mission. We are looking for energetic individuals who have a passion about teaching and who can engage both majors and non-majors in the learning about criminal justice.
In-person courses may be taught during the day or evening (EST) and are typically on either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or Tuesday and Thursday for daytime courses and one day a week for evening courses.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
  • Prior collegiate level teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Willing to learn or have experience in instructional technologies to teach traditional face to face courses.
  • Competency in computer usage and software applications, including Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
  • All adjunct faculty must take Canvas training before teaching at Midway University. Canvas is the Learning Management system used by the University.
