Job description

REPORTS TO: DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF STREAMS
STATUS: PART-TIME
Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for Adjunct Faculty, Math.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides instruction at the undergraduate level using collaborative, instructional technology, and innovative methods.
  • Teaches introductory level math and calculus courses.
  • Develops syllabi and coursework in alignment with student and course learning outcomes.
  • Provides assessment of students and supports college assessment needs.
  • Establishes and fosters community and institutional relationships to form partnerships that will assist students with networking and job opportunities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • A minimum of Master's Degree in Math, Calculus or related field. Past Ohio educator licensure in mathematics is required.
  • Must be able to teach in person.
  • Post-secondary or secondary teaching experience is highly desired.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment.
  • Growth mindset and institutional teamwork ethic.
  • Creative, strategic, and thoughtful.
