Position Summary
Are you looking for a team of Aviation professionals who love aviation maintenance? Love the outdoors, and great people to work with? SUU Aviation is looking for members to join our team of A&P mechanics.
Perform maintenance and repairs to the fleet of SUU Aviation Aircraft. Southern Utah University (SUU) has a flight-training program that operates both rotor and fixed-wing aircraft. Our technicians will be performing preventive maintenance and repair on our fleet. SUU's Aviation maintenance team is responsible for keeping the fleet flying safely and in good condition. Airworthy aircraft are the workhorses of our flight training operation, and are necessary to continue producing the best pilots possible.
Essential Functions
  1. Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems in accordance with the applicable FAA requirements and recommendations.
  2. Properly complete all required maintenance record entries in accordance with FAA regulations.
  3. Accurately record time worked on individual projects as required by SUU policy.
  4. Maintain a clean and neat work area adhering to all organizational policies and procedures.

Education & Experience
  1. Highschool diploma, or equivalent.
  2. A&P license.
  3. Strong mechanical aptitude.
  4. Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
  5. Ability to work well in a team.
