Job description

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program.
  • Diagnose substance use disorders and non‑substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria.
  • Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed.
  • Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services, as well as preparing didactic presentations as needed.
  • Order and manage medications for addiction treatment, including for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
  • Monitor the progress of individuals in treatment and review the appropriateness of continued treatment and level of care.
  • Contribute to the completion of Treatment Plans and Utilization Reviews.
  • Assist with orientation of new physicians and staff in addiction services.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry.
  • Active New York State Medical License.
Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $278,200* (board eligible); $288,500* (board certified) based on a 40‑hour work week.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $450,020** (board eligible) and $461,350** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors.

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings; after one year of service, an additional 7% company contribution.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top‑tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you; additional voluntary Life and AD&D coverage available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (occurrence‑based) provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre‑tax employee‑paid contributions for commuting expenses.
  • Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
  • This position is eligible for the High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for physicians meeting eligibility criteria.
