Guiding Light Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative team of licensed therapists. This full-time position enables you to provide high-quality mental health care through a telehealth model, allowing you to focus on client care without the distractions of administrative tasks. With a salary range of USD 100,000 to 110,000 yearly, this role offers a competitive compensation package that reflects your expertise and commitment to mental health.

Work Environment

You will work entirely from the comfort of your home, leveraging our advanced telehealth platform to engage with clients. We prioritize flexibility and offer a set schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to promote a healthy work-life balance. Our virtual workspace fosters collaboration with psychiatric providers and other therapists, creating a collegial atmosphere where your contributions are valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual therapy sessions via our user-friendly telehealth platform, utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based methodologies.
  • Regularly assess patient progress through digital assessment tools to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adapt therapeutic strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic approaches are employed for client care.
  • Document session notes and treatment plans in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements, utilizing secure electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Participate in weekly consultation sessions to enhance clinical skills and share insights with fellow team members.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse clientele, addressing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. By utilizing a compassionate and individualized approach, you'll help clients navigate their mental health journeys, fostering resilience and empowerment in their lives.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida is mandatory.
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work is required.
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapeutic setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with CBT or other effective therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong technology skills, with an ability to adapt to various digital clinical tools with ease.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing therapy online and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
  • Background in trauma-informed care or working with underrepresented populations is a significant plus.
