Work Environment

Working with Guiding Light Therapy means joining a supportive and flexible work environment. Our fully remote setup allows you to enjoy a work-life balance while adhering to a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM. You will collaborate with a team of committed mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and other counselors, through a user-friendly digital platform that integrates Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for seamless communication and progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct one-on-one video-based therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques, primarily focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in overcoming challenges.
  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans with measurable goals to monitor progress effectively.
  • Utilize EMR-integrated assessments to tailor therapeutic interventions, ensuring alignment with clients’ evolving needs and objectives.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to discuss client progress, share best practices, and participate in collaborative case reviews.
  • Document all client interactions and treatment modalities in compliance with organizational guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Build therapeutic relationships and provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to discuss their mental health concerns.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele is diverse, encompassing various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will be expected to be culturally competent and empathetic, capable of adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution.
  • An active and valid LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW license in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of 1 year of post-licensure experience, with at least 2 years of demonstrated experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse client population.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and a willingness to embrace and integrate digital tools into clinical practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a telehealth environment and familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Background in multicultural counseling and sensitivity to the specific needs of various communities.
  • Engagement in continuous professional development and training in evidence-based practices.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based incentives.
