Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for developing and implementing a broad-based, comprehensive health promotion and disease prevention program for the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Integrative Health Education Program. The individual identifies health education needs, concerns and resources through assessment methods and prepares a written Health Education Plan, which addresses areas of need. The incumbent is also responsible for leading program operations and productivity to ensure quality, maintain efficiency, and reduce costs. This person coordinates workflow to achieve departmental goals and outcome measures while developing strategic initiatives to insure alignment within departmental operational strategies. The incumbent demonstrates the ability to follow all aspects of C.A.R.E., i.e., Courtesy, Attitude, Respect and Enthusiasm. Master's Degree in Health Education, Community or Public Health, Biologic Sciences, Nutrition, Education, Public Relations, Behavioral Science or Communications is required. A minimum of three (3) three years of professional experience providing health education services, with prior experience in grant management is required. Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity is also required. Experience in policy writing and accreditation processes is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft software packages. The incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
