Job description

Provides ongoing analytical support for the Company’s computers, business systems and blood banking applications. Works to understand business and financial issues and objectives of the application systems and processes for the departments supported.  Aggregates and organizes data from multiple sources to develop BI solutions, reports and interfaces.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Develops business intelligence solutions using Microsoft SSRS, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Firebase or other reporting packages.
  2. Processes data technology requests to meet both internal and external operational, quality assurance and compliance needs.
  3. Works with users and consultants in developing applications including database design, reports, queries, and special information requests.
  4. Develops reports, query systems, and process other special requests to meet both internal and external operational, quality assurance and compliance needs.
  5. Assists in the development and implementation of interfaces and outputs and perform software validations as needed.
  6. Responsible for troubleshooting of routine system problems including some hardware and network problems when on-call or in support of systems staff.
  7. Models LifeShare’s mission and values, integrating them into daily decisions, behaviors and actions.
  8. Promotes cooperation and communication within a team to achieve Company and departmental goals and deliverables.
  9. Meets and exceeds customer expectations and adhere to established quality practices while seeking to continually improve work performance.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology or related field, and 
  2. At least 5 years of experience managing technical solution implementations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties of the job
  3. Experience in an FDA regulated or healthcare environment preferred
  4. Advanced capacity to use multiple BI tools, develop SQL queries, and analyze data from multiple sources required
  5. Ability to collate information and present comprehensive summary of data-driven options for operational action.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and database tools; ability to learn and utilize various blood banking computer and web-based applications
  7. Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  8. Ability to analyze complex problems, implement solutions and adapt to new conditions
  9. Must demonstrate a positive approach toward donors and other team members, acting in a highly professional manner at all times.
  10. Must maintain confidentiality of various information at all times 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:

  1. Work is generally performed in a office setting.
  2. Requires extended periods seated at workstations using keyboard; may occasionally require stooping, kneeling or reaching above shoulders.
