Job Summary
Provide frontline customer service and student account support to assist with Accounts Receivable operations and collections activities. This role involves working with students who have past-due balances to establish and maintain payment arrangements. Responsibilities include outbound calls. The position requires handling sensitive information with confidentiality and strict adherence to FERPA guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Self-motivated and a team player.
Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral.
Ability to organize and set priorities.
Detail and accuracy oriented.
Work well under pressure.
Complete multiple tasks effectively in a busy and stressful office.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, & Outlook.
Ability to learn a variety of software programs.
Ability to work with and safeguard confidential information.
Knowledge of College policies, procedures, and operations preferred.
Basic accounting skills preferred.
Customer Service knowledge and skills.
Outbound calls.
Ability to operate telephone, computer, copy machine, ten-key calculator, and other typical office equipment.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with different backgrounds and abilities. Maintain good working relationships across all College departments.
Minimum qualifications
1 year customer service.
High School Diploma
Available to work 25 hrs/week
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish or another language.
Customer Service Skills, Proficient using Microsoft Office, and General Office Knowledge & Experience.
