Job description

Role Description

This is a remote role. Candidates must be located in the United States or Canada.

Mission:

The Developer will work closely with team members and clients to deliver and support successful, customer-driven business solutions. The Developer will utilize their knowledge and experience with software and database design to handle program coding and application testing and will provide implementation support.

Objectives (Key Outcomes):

Write, modify, integrate, and test computer code for Acumatica software application.

Professional business form design and modification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and advice on the implementation of ERP systems, including assisting with reports, applications, customizations, implementation, data conversion, and integrations.
  • Analyze and test system requirements.
  • Develop and implement information systems development plans, policies, and procedures, and provide advice on a wide range of information systems issues.
  • Design and construct large relational databases and integrate new systems with existing in-house structure.
  • Confer with clients to identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, and design.
  • Liaison between technical and non-technical clients to provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security, and service delivery.
  • Research new technologies and develop proofs of concept.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
  • Communicate effectively with others to ensure high quality and timely assistance to technical related issues.
  • Make well thought out decisions in situations that require creative thinking and solutions to technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate effective communication with customers and/or team members.
  • Be self-directed, organized, motivated, and extremely attentive to details.
  • Solve problems, including those that are unstructured and may require reliance on conceptual thinking.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Two or more years of Acumatica experience required.
  • A four-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related subject is required.
  • Five years of development or technical consulting experience.
  • Experience working with customer-facing businesses and technical functions.
  • Proficient in SQL, SSRS, ILS, Crystal, SharePoint, Active Directory, VB.Net, VBA, Asp.Net, C#, and/or HTML5/JavaScript.
  • Acumatica Certified Application Developer Badge is required.
  • The ability to adopt specific methodology and work within a team.
  • An understanding of relational databases and object-oriented programming.
