Position: Activities Assistant - Full-Time
Pay Range: $17.48 - $19.00 per hour DOE

Del Rosa Post Acute is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help create meaningful experiences that enhance the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of our residents.

Position Summary

The Activities Assistant supports the Activities Department by planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities designed to enrich the lives of residents and promote a positive living environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of daily activity programs
  • Lead group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, music programs, and social events
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities
  • Provide one-on-one visits to residents who are unable or unwilling to attend group activities
  • Assist with community outings and special events as needed
  • Help decorate the facility for holidays, celebrations, and resident events
  • Transport residents to and from activities when necessary
  • Maintain activity calendars, attendance records, and documentation as assigned
  • Ensure activities are conducted in a safe, respectful, and inclusive manner
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance resident quality of life
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, healthcare, senior living, or related fields preferred
  • Compassionate, energetic, and resident-focused attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative, organized, and dependable
  • Experience working with elderly individuals or those in a healthcare setting is a plus
