Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center is hiring for an Activities Assistant!
Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. We offer short-term to long-term care and a variety of living options and professional clinical services. The Activities Assistant assists the Activities Director with planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients, ensuring that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient is met in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Assists in providing (based on the comprehensive assessment and care plan and the preferences of each patient) an ongoing program to support patients in their choice of activities, both facility-sponsored group and individual activities and independent activities, designed to meet the interests of and support the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient, encouraging both independence and interaction in the community.
Activities Assistant Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan, organize, and direct a program of activities which provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression and fulfills basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs which will be available to all residents of the facility.
Activities Assistant Requirements:
  • Sufficient knowledge and experience in long-term care.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Activities Assistant.
  • Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
  • Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
  • Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
