Position Summary
Under the direction of the Activities Director, the Activities Assistant helps prepare, organize, and conduct daily activity programs that support the emotional, recreational, social, and spiritual well-being of residents.
This role plays an important part in creating a positive, engaging, and home-like environment for residents.
What You'll Do
  1. Assist with preparing and conducting scheduled group activities
  2. Transport residents to and from activities
  3. Provide activities and engagement for room-bound residents
  4. Record resident participation and responses to activities
  5. Assist residents with grooming and participation as needed
  6. Deliver and read mail to residents requiring assistance
  7. Assist with menu selections where applicable
  8. Support volunteer programs and community involvement
  9. Help create activity calendars, bulletin boards, and resident room personalization
  10. Communicate resident concerns or condition changes to appropriate staff
  11. Promote resident dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
