Description
We are looking for an accounts receivable specialist to provide accounts receivable services with a high degree of accuracy in a dynamic business environment. Applicants must possess a variety of skills in the financial, clerical, and administrative areas.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Prepare, generate, and submit Account Receivable documents
• Assist in customer payments and cash forecasting (collection calls, credit card processing)
• Verify proper use of product codes and monitor inventory accounts
• Validate and resolve discrepancies/client billing issues
• Maintain customer account information (inquiries, complaints)
• Performs all day-to-day financial transactions: verifying, sorting, calculating, posting, and recording
• Reconcile of accounts receivable ledger, verifying all payments are accounted for accurately and properly posted
• Ability to process and analyze data detect any discrepancies within the system
• Reliably executing billing notices and following up to facilitate payment of client invoices due
• Generate financial statements and reports - detailing accounts receivable status
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Bachelor of Science in Accounting
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Experience as an A/R clerk or accountant with proven success in that role
• Understanding of industry standards including basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection rules and regulations
• Exceptional data entry skills and aptitude for working with numbers
• Significant MS Excel experience operating spreadsheets
• Well versed in customer service and negotiation skills
• Excellent time management and communication skills
