Position Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location: Santa Ana, CA (On-Site)

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

Addison Group is partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead and enhance the accounts payable function. This role will oversee daily AP operations, supervise staff, and support process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle accounts payable experience, leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of how AP impacts the general ledger and month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Accounts Payable team members while managing daily workflow and priorities
  • Oversee full-cycle accounts payable processing, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of high-volume invoices, ACH payments, wire transfers, and check runs
  • Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including accruals, reconciliations, and AP-related general ledger entries
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations related to AP transactions
  • Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and accounting teams to resolve invoice and receiving issues
  • Assist with improving workflows, implementing process efficiencies, and supporting ERP system enhancements
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and standard operating procedures
  • Support audit requests and ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounts payable experience required
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience required
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes and AP impact on the general ledger
  • Experience with accruals, bank reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations
  • ERP system experience required; experience with system implementations or upgrades is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Manufacturing or food industry experience preferred but not required
