About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting experience who enjoys working with reconciliations, invoicing, and data entry in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

This position offers the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent opportunity based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable (AR) client invoice billings
  • Generate and maintain monthly internal billing reports
  • Perform high-volume daily and monthly account reconciliations
  • Investigate, follow up on, and resolve outstanding reconciliation items
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems
  • Assist with month-end close activities and meet established deadlines
  • Support additional accounting-related tasks and projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits
  • Experience with invoicing and account reconciliations
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry and basic formulas
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems
  • Experience working in the financial services industry
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using QuickBooks
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Candidates with a high school diploma and significant accounting experience will also be considered
