We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Tech to support our accounting team while helping ensure the agency runs efficiently behind the scenes

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Accounting Support

Support the Accounting Department with direct bill processing and related administrative activities.

  • Review direct bill deposits, create activities, and attach statements within agency systems
  • Ensure policy transactions are processed accurately, including transaction codes, profit centers, and commission allocations
  • Review downloaded commissions and associate them with the correct policies
  • Assist with identifying and resolving items in suspense
  • Provide support with vendor payables, expense reports, journal entries, and other accounting-related projects as needed
  • Other accounting and administrative related duties as time permits

Front Desk & Administrative Support

Serve as a member of the agency's front desk coverage team.

  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate team members
  • Provide coverage during lunches, PTO absences, meetings, and other scheduling needs
  • Assist with mail runs and general office support responsibilities

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 0โ€“1+ years of experience in billing, accounting support, administrative work, data entry, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Experience working with accounting, operational, or agency management systems preferred but not required
  • Insurance industry knowledge or familiarity with commission-based financial structures preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
