This opportunity entails providing functional and technical in-depth knowledge to strengthen accounting technology and further leverage the function by applying best practices and efficient processes. Excels at working in a collaborative environment with other functional Corporate Finance teams, business process organization, Information Technology and vendors. Position is a seasoned project management professional with a strong accounting technology and business process background to implement innovative accounting tools and technologies.
What You'll Do:
  • Manages and successfully implements projects associated with new functionality and/or enhancements to existing functionality; including requirements analysis and documentation, design/build oversight, testing and deployment; postimplementation support and transition to ongoing operations.
  • Partners with IT to prioritize, design and test accounting solutions to deliver highest levels of functionality.
  • Identifies and drives opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence based upon metrics and customer feedback for business processes and systems. Recommends technical solutions to address opportunities for improving existing processes to further streamline and optimize operational effectiveness within the Corporate Accounting organization.
  • Ensures data integrity through management of data and effective data processing guidelines. Develops, documents and implements new and revised processes to improve data integrity and promote the consistent use of accounting data.
  • Promotes improved reporting and analytics for accounting. Establishes vision, opportunities and processes to further standardize and warehouse accounting data for improved information gathering and reporting/analytics.
  • Defines and implements vendor/partner management process to manage and align HNTB and vendor capabilities.
  • Leads and maintains accounting project governance process. Facilitates evaluation of new enhancement and project requests against strategic priorities with key Corporate Accounting stakeholders, business process organization and IT.
  • Works closely with Corporate Finance managers, business process organization, IT, various functional groups and business units in understanding and prioritizing accounting systems enhancements to meet changing business needs.
  • Provides planning, budgeting and forecasting of current and future accounting needs. Maintains awareness of accounting's vendor plans and their potential impact on accounting functionality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology or related field and 7 years of project management and accounting system experience, or
  • In lieu of degree, 11 years of project management and accounting system technology system administration experience.
