Accounting Systems Specialist Overview We are seeking an Accounting Systems Specialist to support the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of accounting and financial systems. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure systems are functioning effectively, users are properly supported, and business processes are accurately maintained. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of accounting, technology, systems administration, and end-user support. What You'll Do Support the administration and maintenance of accounting and financial systems. Manage user accounts, including new user setup, profile updates, terminations, security roles, and access administration. Develop an understanding of business processes supported by accounting systems and help ensure those processes run efficiently. Train new and existing employees on system functionality, processes, and procedures. Serve as a first point of contact for accounting systems support, troubleshooting issues and escalating when necessary. Identify, document, and communicate system issues while assisting with resolution efforts. Assist with documentation of processes, procedures, and training materials. Support the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and process improvements, including testing, data validation, and coordinating with end users. Review software-related invoices and work with vendors to resolve discrepancies when needed. Maintain security roles and permissions across financial systems. Assist with internal and external audits related to financial systems and processes. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience. 2-4 years of experience supporting or administering financial systems. Experience working with Yardi as an administrator, end user, or in an accounting-related capacity. Familiarity with financial systems such as AvidXchange, MRI, or Concur is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Understanding of financial processes and accounting terminology. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience within commercial real estate is helpful but not required. Ideal Candidate Supporting and improving business systems. Helping users troubleshoot and learn new technology. Working closely with accounting and finance teams. Participating in system implementations and process improvements. Managing security, access, and data integrity across business-critical applications.
