Description:Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations and weekly payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in general accounting principles who thrives in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

โ€ข Maintain and reconcile the general ledger on a monthly basis

โ€ข Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

โ€ข Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments

โ€ข Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

โ€ข Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts

โ€ข Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports

โ€ข Maintain organized and accurate financial records in compliance with company policy

Payroll

โ€ข Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees

โ€ข Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and withholdings

โ€ข Maintain employee payroll records and update changes (new hires, terminations, rate changes, direct deposit)

โ€ข Utilize reporting tools to audit payroll data and support finance reporting needs

โ€ข Prepare and file payroll tax deposits and quarterly/annual returns (941, W-2s, etc.)

โ€ข Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner

โ€ข Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations

Working Conditions

Requirements:Qualifications
