A Typical Day in the Life:
As an Assurance Intern, you will be responsible for assisting, preparing and completing various assigned tasks relating to audit, review and compilation engagements, under close coaching and direct supervision.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Effectively document work.
  • Develop understanding of financial reporting requirements applicable to assigned areas including US GAAP, FRF for SMEs, Tax, Modified Cash basis.
  • Develop technical skills related to US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and Statements for Accounting and Review Services.
  • Be an ambassador to the universities.
  • Assist in administrative functions.
  • Become familiar with assurance department software, policies, and procedures.
  • Work as an effective team member to complete assignment tasks.
  • Participate in office wide initiatives - recruitment, marketing etc.
  • Build strong team relationship skills within department and firm.
  • Be supportive of a continuous learning environment.
  • Enhance knowledge of client businesses.
  • Assist with delivery of client service and maintenance of client relationships.
