Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Aurora, IL

Assignment Type: 3- month contract with potential for extensions

Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 / Hourly depending on relevant experience

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Take ownership of the month-end close process and help ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Analyze general ledger activity, identify variances, and research discrepancies
  • Prepare supporting schedules and assist with financial reporting and audit requests
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
  • Recommend and support accounting process improvements and documentation initiatives
  • Partner closely with AP, AR, Payroll, and FP&A teams to support daily accounting operations
  • Assist with year-end close activities and external audit preparation
