We are partnering with a highly regarded and growing company to identify an Accounting Manager who will play a key role in supporting its continued expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys owning the close process, improving processes, and working closely with leadership in a collaborative environment.



About the Role

The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and help build scalable processes as the company continues to grow.



Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting packages, and variance analyses.
  • Oversee general ledger activity and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage key areas of day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, payroll-related accounting, and intercompany activity, as applicable.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and business decision-making.
  • Support the annual audit, tax compliance, and other external reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and automate manual accounting workflows.
  • Help develop, mentor, and review the work of accounting staff as the team grows.
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience owning or leading the month-end close process.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth, multi-entity, or fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable being hands-on while also thinking strategically about process improvement and scalability.
