The Client Reporting Services (CRS) team is a critical component of our commercial delivery and success for all managed clients at LAZ Parking. The department is comprised of over 65 highly qualified accountants who specialize in client services and providing monthly financial reporting for over 1,600 locations and 1,000 clients. All team members pride themselves on completing reports in a timely, accurate, and complete manner in accordance with GAAP or Cash Basis of accounting consistent with underlying management agreement terms and client expectations.

  • The Spirit of the Position:
  • LAZs continued growth has created an opportunity in the Client Reporting Services department for a talented Internto join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a small portfolio of managed clients, including certain aspects of monthly accounting and reporting for numerous parking locations.
  • Monthly accounting and reporting for a portfolio of individual managed locations
  • Perform required month-end close activities for each location, including accurate preparation and recording of all journal entries.
  • Reconcile and record activity from daily cash reports, credit card activity reports, and bank statements. Complete individual location bank reconciliations using auto matching application.
  • Reconcile all location Balance Sheets and related asset, liability and equity accounts. Prepare analysis and lead sheets, when appropriate.
  • Compile and prepare comprehensive monthly financial report packages and submit timely to the Regional Accounting Supervisor review and approval.
  • Meet monthly financial report submission deadlines to GM and client in line with management agreement and client expectations.
  • Assist in calculating, preparing, and filing all applicable tax returns, including property, parking, and sales and use taxes.
  • Prepare and process funding and wiring requirements, including distributions, taxes, and intercompany settlements.
  • Communicate and interact with regional and facility personnel working in the field.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in process in Accounting/Finance (preferably a Junior or Senior)

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, be a self-starter, and effectively interface at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent computer skills, including high and proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook)

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds
