Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Specialist for a 6-12 month assignment supporting our manufacturing operations within the aerospace and aviation industry.

This role focuses on improving warehouse and material flow processes that directly support production. You will work closely with warehouse, production, and supply chain teams to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and help ensure the timely and accurate movement of critical components.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent or upcoming college graduate to gain hands-on experience in Lean methodologies, manufacturing operations, and aerospace-quality environments, while contributing to real, measurable improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze warehouse and material flow processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
  • Collect and analyze data related to inventory accuracy, material availability, and production support metrics
  • Assist in root cause analysis for issues impacting production, shipping, or receiving
  • Partner with warehouse and production teams to improve layout, material flow, and space utilization
  • Support optimization efforts such as part slotting, point-of-use storage, and kitting processes
  • Help develop and maintain standard work and process documentation aligned with quality standards
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery to production, and throughput
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, quality, and engineering teams
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field - Recent or upcoming grads encouraged to apply!
  • Internship, co-op, or academic experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, or process improvement is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, tracking, and reporting)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
