Position Overview 
We are seeking a highly hands on Accounting Manager to support accounting operations, financial close activities, reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis across global entities. This role will focus heavily on accounting execution, process discipline, and financial data accuracy, while also providing coordination support for global tax deliverables in partnership with third party advisors.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, comfortable working directly in the numbers, and able to support both recurring close activities and ad hoc finance projects in a fast moving environment.
 
Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Close Support
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across global entities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide clear explanations of financial results, trends, and account activity
  • Support revenue recognition analysis and related accounting considerations
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Assist with financial reporting packages, close documentation, and management reporting needs
  • Partner cross functionally with finance, accounting, and business teams to improve close processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency
  • Help strengthen and scale accounting processes as the company continues to grow
Analysis, Systems, and Process Improvement
  • Perform hands on Excel based analysis, reconciliations, and financial modeling
  • Utilize ERP systems and financial data to support accounting, reporting, and tax related information needs
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and audit ready documentation across accounting processes
  • Support ad hoc financial projects, reporting requests, and process improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
  • Leverage technology and AI tools where appropriate to streamline recurring processes and improve execution
Tax Coordination Support
  • Coordinate tax related deliverables, including the global tax calendar, with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support the collection and organization of information needed for quarterly and annual tax reporting
  • Assist with foreign reporting packages, intercompany data collection, and related supporting schedules
  • Review tax related financial information for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before advisor submission
  • Partner with local finance teams to gather and validate statutory and tax related information
  • Maintain a general working knowledge of international tax concepts, including FDII, GILTI, Subpart F, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions
  • Support tax process organization and deadlines, while relying on external advisors for technical tax guidance

Required Skillsets
  • This position requires commuting 4 days per week to the corporate headquarters located in Stamford, CT 
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, with a strong emphasis on accounting operations and close activities
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations, including close management, journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and revenue recognition
  • Experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong comfort working directly with large data sets and reconciliations
  • ERP experience required. NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of tax concepts or experience supporting tax related data requests preferred
  • Familiarity with U.S. international tax concepts such as FDII, GILTI, Subpart F, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions is helpful, but deep technical tax expertise is not required
  • 2+ years of in house experience within a multinational organization preferred
  • Prior experience supporting a Controller, Assistant Controller, or corporate accounting team is a plus
  • Experience using AI tools or automation to improve workflows is highly valued
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Master’s Degree preferred, but not required.
