Job description

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support a busy finance team. This role contributes to daily accounting operations across receivables, payables, billing, and reporting while helping maintain accurate financial records and timely processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential information in an organized office environment.


Responsibilities:

• Support incoming payment processing and verify prior-day cash activity against bank reporting to help maintain accurate receivable records.

• Handle credit card expense documentation and employee reimbursement submissions, ensuring transactions are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.

• Enter invoice details accurately and assist with routine accounts payable tasks to keep vendor payments organized and current.

• Track files that are ready for billing closure, prepare related items for final processing, and assist with revisions to prebills as needed.

• Upload and reconcile soft cost information and prepare fee and expense tracking reports for designated legal teams.

• Produce and distribute monthly reporting and help maintain dependable financial data for internal review.

• Review, organize, and route daily incoming mail while supporting general accounting and administrative activities.

• Contribute to year-end close efforts, assist with special projects, and uphold strict confidentiality when working with financial and client-related information.


The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000.
