What does an accounting administrative assistant do?

As an accounting administrative assistant, your duties are to help process documents and manage accounts. In this role, you may perform various tasks related to billing and payroll, support vendor relations, reconcile accounting statements, answer telephones, file paperwork, and scan documents. This job is similar to other administrative assistant roles but also includes some minor accounting responsibilities, which may require more training. However, this is not an actual accountant job, though it can serve as training and experience if you want to become an accountant.

What is the lowest position in accounting?

The lowest position in accounting is typically an accounting clerk or bookkeeper, responsible for basic tasks like data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records.
