Job description

Central Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant I to join our Accounting team. This position works closely with the Manager of Accounting and Senior Accountant to support the cooperative's accounting and financial operations.

Responsibilities include:
Accounts payable processing
Preparing schedules for the annual audit
Assisting with the annual operating and capital budget process
Supporting payroll and employee benefits administration
Performing general accounting duties and providing accounting support throughout the organization

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Two years of related accounting experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively with employees across the organization
