Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift

Compensation: $31.00-$38.00/hourly. Dependent on experience

Tessera is seeking a skilled and reliable Accountant I with a professional attitude. The Accountant I is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the management in carrying out the responsibilities of the finance department.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with all accounting work that is needed to make sure accounts payable is processed in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Reconcile/Disburse petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation.

  • Assist with Subcontractor invoices to ensure all invoices are billed and recorded accurately in a timely manner.

  • Research and resolve routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status.

  • Assist with entering and tracking financial information to prepare monthly financial reports.

  • Ensure financial records are maintained thoroughly, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Assist with payroll administration

  • Update and maintain financial data within Maximo

  • Verify and track preventive maintenance payments.

  • Submit credit card receipts to Accounts Payable for processing bi-monthly.

  • Process and maintain base access forms for subcontractors to include required documentation.

  • Update and track employee professional licenses within Maximo.

  • Assists with other projects as assigned.

  • Responsible for protecting the organization's value by safe keeping information at all worksites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting / Financing required.

  • 4 years equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirements.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy; Planning and organizing; Scheduling and monitoring; Communication skills; Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Initiative; Teamwork.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • Valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance carrier.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
