Seeking a career-minded, highly motivated individual to join the Calibration Laboratory, LLC team as an Account Representative.

The Account Representative will utilize strong organizational, customer service, and multitasking skills, along with technical aptitude, to prepare quotes, manage customer relationships, and respond to customer inquiries.

Summary of Position

The Account Representative plays a fundamental role in customer acquisition and retention by delivering exceptional customer service. This position is primarily responsible for preparing calibration quotes, maintaining customer accounts, and providing outstanding support to our existing customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate employee.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding calibration quotes.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Assist with scheduling onsite calibration services.
  • Provide customers with updates on their equipment and service status.
  • Educate customers on calibration terminology, features, and benefits to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand business structures across various industries to identify key decision-makers.
  • Generate calibration quotes using internal software programs.
  • Contact customers promptly to obtain purchase orders and other required purchasing documents.
  • Stay organized and task-oriented to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information.
  • Continuously expand job knowledge by studying equipment profiles, calibration methods, and participating in technical discussions within the laboratory.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the laboratory's current Scope of Accreditation.

Skills and Requirements

  • Preference will be given to individuals with two or more years of customer service experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical sales environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong emphasis on professional phone and email communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn proprietary software.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must pass the entrance exam (see Application Process below).

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Reports To

The Account Representative reports directly to the Quality Manager.
