Job description

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $29-$32 an hour.
Responsibilities:
· Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
· Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
· Verify invoice approvals and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
· Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
· Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
· Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures.
· Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
· Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and other departments to resolve payment issues.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
· Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
