OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to Process invoices and make recommendations for payment. Responsible for data entry, collection of data, running reports, researching, and resolving payable discrepancies, record keeping, and special projects as needed. This position will work with a diverse group of internal contacts and outside customers and suppliers. Importance will be placed on the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up invoices for payment of due accounts and maintains records of payments; reviews invoices and check requests related to payable accounts
  • Investigates discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices from vendors; resolves issues; vouches invoices and processes for payment
  • Processes weekly payments via ACH, check run and wire transfers
  • Follows up with vendors on issues related to accounts payable and maintains good relationships with them
  • Prepares monthly A/P accruals
  • Prepares and maintains accounts payable reports and corrects discrepancies in the reports
  • Codes and enters weekly employee expense reports and processes payment
  • Sets up new vendors and maintains existing vendor information in the files
  • Prepares annual 1099's
  • Read and interpret documents such as invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, expense reports, and company instructions and procedure manuals
  • Precisely captures information to complete work accurately; Ensures that information is always reviewed; Focuses on smaller elements and finer points of material or processes
  • Responds promptly to vendor

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year related experience.ย 
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.ย 
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.ย 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excelย
