Job description

Account Manager - Commercial

As an Account Manager - Commercial at Fishbowl Solutions, you will drive revenue growth by deepening and expanding relationships within a named portfolio of commercial accounts. You'll uncover new use cases and buying centers within existing clients and serve as their trusted long-term advisor for knowledge and content management technology. You'll partner closely with Oracle sales reps on your named accounts and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional client experiences. This is the role for you if you thrive on building deep client partnerships, uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts, and helping clients maximize the value of their technology investments over time.

We are a team of driven problem solvers at the intersection of technology and industry. Come join us!

A typical day might include:

  • Managing and growing a named portfolio of commercial accounts by identifying expansion opportunities, new buying centers, and additional use cases for Fishbowl's solutions post initial sale
  • Partnering with Oracle sales reps on your named accounts to co-sell, align on account strategy, and stay current on Oracle's product roadmap and relevant industry initiatives
  • Running consultative discovery calls and tailored product demos with IT directors, department heads, and C-suite executives to map their operational challenges to Fishbowl's solutions and expand usage across the organization
  • Developing and executing against a quarterly business plan to achieve $2.4M in annual revenue - with a focus on expanding software and consulting services revenue within your existing book of accounts
  • Maintaining an active pipeline of 3x quota through regular engagement with existing accounts, generating 2+ new opportunities per week by deepening relationships across departments and identifying unmet technology needs
  • Coordinating cross-functionally with Fishbowl's consulting and delivery teams to ensure smooth project handoffs, successful implementations, and outstanding post-sale experiences that strengthen long-term client retention
  • Keeping CRM records updated daily with accurate account activity, pipeline data, and deal progression across your commercial portfolio to inform forecasting and account planning strategy
  • Attending Oracle partner events, industry conferences, and customer site visits to strengthen relationships and stay current on the technology trends shaping your clients' industries
  • Providing competitive and market intelligence back to the team to help refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for commercial accounts, including insights on industry trends and buyer priorities
  • Supporting marketing programs and contributing to sales planning initiatives as part of a collaborative, cross-functional sales team

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of inside and outside sales experience in software, technology, or services, with a focus on large account management and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience in consultative selling, including uncovering customer requirements, delivering impactful presentations, and expanding relationships across multiple departments and buying functions within a single organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain senior-level relationships across IT, operations, finance, and executive functions - including C-suite and VP-level stakeholders - within large commercial or enterprise accounts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation and organizational abilities; comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments within large commercial accounts
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline of $3-$7M annually across a portfolio of named accounts, prioritize opportunities, and stay focused on consistent account development activity
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience); working knowledge of CRM, MS Office, and professional social media platforms to engage customers and Oracle partner contacts

What Fishbowl can offer you:

  • We pride ourselves on hiring smart people who are constantly learning and growing and interested in learning from others
  • We foster a team-first environment focused on collaboration, enabling cross-functional work as you develop meaningful relationships
  • We find the best ways to solve our clients' relevant business problems with world-class (and cool) technology solutions
  • We have a "work hard, play hard" mentality with perks that include the annual President's Club vacation, recognition through Peloton Awards (peer kudos), community service and volunteer events, and other activities, including company-sponsored sports teams
  • Enjoy our Silicon Valley-esque workspace, including free parking, located right off the Cedar Lake Regional Trail!
  • We provide opportunities for growth. The sky is the limit at Fishbowl Solutions, for you and for us. We are entrepreneurial. We are growing. Join us!

Preferred Skills: (Not included on website posting)

  • Prior experience selling into or managing accounts within commercial verticals such as technology, financial services, professional services, healthcare, or other enterprise-focused industries
  • Familiarity with Oracle products, the Oracle partner ecosystem, or enterprise software sales through an indirect channel model
  • Experience developing large accounts and selling to multiple buying functions within a single organization, including IT, Purchasing, Finance, Operations, and business-unit leadership
  • Proven history of achieving an annual quota of $1.3M+ and successfully managing and growing a book of business through structured account planning and sales methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for Oracle partner events, industry conferences, and customer site visits to strengthen account relationships and accelerate expansion opportunities
